I was looking for communist songs from the People's Republic of Congo, but unfortunately found nothing. However, I found this gem, a Soviet song about the death of the father of independence of the other Congo, the Democratic Republic of Congo. Though not a communist, Lumumba was pro-Soviet, which lead to his capture and execution. This sent shockwaves throughout the world and further escalated the Congo Crisis that led to the communist Simba Rebellion.

Vietnam and the Soviet Union were strong allies during the Cold War, from the USSR's establishment of relations with the Democratic Republic of Vietnam in 1950 through the three Indochina Wars. The Soviet Bloc also recognised the People's Republic of Kampuchea against the US-backed Khmer Rouge and Vietnam was one of only three countries outside of Europe to join COMECON (the other two being Mongolia and Cuba). The two signed a Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation in 1978 and remained close...

I included this song in the "10 Hours of Yugoslav Communist Music" video, but it's about 7 hours in, so I figured I'd post it for those who won't make it that far. This song was taken from a record that had this song on one side and another version of the same song on the other side. I felt this was the superior version. After all these years, the Mongol Internationale has finally been uncovered, even if it's just a short version. For those who don't know, this was the first anthem of the Mongolian People's Republic. When Russia united with three other republics, the Soviet Union was formed and adopted the Internationale as its anthem. Tuva and Mongolia made...
