Nattens Madrigal - Ãtte Balladene til Veien i Mennesket is a track-by-track Ruinmix of Ulver's Nattens Madrigal. Each piece is composed only of samples from each corresponding original track. Divided into two sides, pieces 1 to 4 should be listened to in a block, as should pieces 5 to 8. Or listen to the whole release as one. Ideal listening experience with a very good stereo system or using headphones. The volume should be suitably engulfing, and darkness and minimal external stimulus is...

Lucas Darklord's SEXY is the twelth album released by the futuristic virtual label, Crypt Designers Guild (Catalogue No. CDGA012). Constructed almost entirely from sine waves and treated samples from pornographic movies, SEXY has been the result of many long and painful hours of research and experimentation. It has been said that "...it's all made from beating sine waves and stretched/treated porn samples. It's like being in a vicious black metal interior porn film, where you are the star,...

Not quite the usual Ruinmix, this release is strangely driving, rhythmic and, at times horrifying, and at others blindingly beautiful. Each track is composed by only sampling from the original Aerosmith track, with the slight exception of occasional buffer bleed from one track to the next. Purge? No. This album was made for Buttress O'Kneel (and to a lesser degree Mat Blackwell). This is a...

Recordings from GDS207 class 1 Be aware that these are stereo recordings. If we were using these in a game would they be stereo or mono sound files? Or could they be either? In a film the action the sound is designed for is set and will be the same each time, but in interactive media such as a game the action depends on the player and will likely be different each time. What would need to be different about how the source sound files are handled for interactive media? If we used some of this...

Before XXX, there is this, the xxx EP. Initially a recording experiment.. we have decided to share it with you all. This time, you can almost navigate the intended places and spaces... almost. They are so close, you can almost touch them. Recorded in pernicion's Hall III, all live, NO overdubs. All is intentional, with intention provided by both gear and life-forms. This trillion dollar facility boasts, many things. Complete with custom adaptive slime mould sound proofing, and sheet kelp...

Recorded in 2008, Anthology V: Point Voids features a number of pieces that were never intended for anything in particular. They are collected here as temporal companions only. "it slipped, and fell, so small.. so very small" For the most part, there is nothing reworked here, almost all original gold, as crafted in 2008. KnewHeardBefore features additional elements and was completed in 2011. Not unmastered as such, but with intentionally broad dynamics. Set your volume as high as you...

Visit the thick days of April in 2006. pernicious sovereign was in the midst of a number of projects and took to this solo work with hunger and lust. Experiments in applying different delays to different frequency bands of sound. Here using a live sound from train carriages during a journey from Springwood to Central Station in Sydney, and then room sound and a recording of bamboo in wind, recorded using contact microphones. Each track is exported from the next build of the delay processing. The processing method is being built in Max 6 (Cycling ‘74), and uses band filters and delays. A more complex version is in development.

Lucas Darklord insists that this isn't an album or anything similar. Rather, it is a piece for not paying attention to. It is background. For darkness. Lucas Darklord's "Increase in Holiday Sales" was a one off live performance @ Audiopollen in Brisbane, 2007. If Lucas Darklord has any Xmas music, this is it. This piece has intentional silences, they are not glitches or mistakes. It should be listened to at volume, in darkness. Enjoy the space. And the journey. All performed from field recordings made in Blacktown's Westpoint Shopping Centre and on the Pacific Highway in Taree, NSW, Australia. Signal recorded in gear, this is not the...
