The final major components of Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency's Kibo laboratory arrived at NASA Kennedy Space Center's Shuttle Landing Facility from Japan on Sept. 24. The Kibo Exposed Facility and the Experiment Logistics Module Exposed Section will fly on space shuttle Endeavour's STS-127 mission to the International Space Station. The full-scale mock-up of NASA's Orion crew module is being tested in the water off the coast of Kennedy Space Center in Florida the week of April 6. The spacecraft mock-up traveled from the Naval Surface Warfare Center's Carderock Division in Bethesda, Md., to Kennedy. The goal of the operation, dubbed the Post-landing Orion Recovery Test, or PORT, is to determine what kind of motion astronauts can expect after landing, as well as outside conditions for recovery teams.

Hundreds of fans were on hand to watch the Nationals take on the Baltimore Orioles at Space Coast Stadium in Viera, Fla.
