"Home movie: 001473: 1940s Bay Area suburbs and Yosemite" uploaded by AV Geeks in May 2020 - I actually don't see info about the copyright status/ rights holder for this clip and I'd like to help my students find it.
Can anyone advise?

My understanding (from contacting AV Geeks with a similar inquiry) is that everything they upload is owned by them and can not be used without licensing, unless it explicitly states in bold black lettering: "Public Domain" besides the category "Usage."
You can find other films that have this stamp, and you'll see that it's pretty easy to lookout for once you know what it looks like. That is the decisive stamp as far as free commercial use. It's worth noting that if your students are using the film without any commercial intent, there's no issue! But it's good practice to credit AV Geeks.
Hope that helps!
