VersaPlanetary gear boxes from Vex Robotics are a compact way to increase gear ratios for power on FIRST robots. But, Vex does not make an adapter that allows FTC teams to use these. Our FTC team designed this adapter that bridges the gap! We used these on our robot for our lifter in 2015, and we went all the way to the World Championship! We hope other teams find them useful as well! Note that you also need a metal collar adapter for the output shaft of the DC motor to allow it to interface...

Simple snap on terminal guard for a Vex Pro 775 Motor, designed by the FRC Team 3189 CAD Team. Wires go through the two outside holes so that the terminals are protected. I would recommend printing with PETG rather than PLA to make sure the tabs don't snap off. Will add images once it's put together.

Series of 5mm hex based objects. I've used a 5.1mm hex bore size as i've found it works best (at least on my printer). 5_1mm Hex Hub - 6 hole design with 3x6-32 through holes and 3x6-32 tap holes. 8mm bore on the OD of the boss. 5_1mm Hex HubXL - 6 lines of holes, all 6-32 tap size. Intended for use with intakes and pulley wheels that don't have the 5mm hex hole. 8mm OD on the bore of the boss. 5_1mm Hex Bushing - hex bushing for use in 8mm holes in channel and the like.

Introducing the Code Kitty version 2! ============================ The Code Kitty robot is a 3D printed robot designed to help teach kids coding. It was developed by the Code Kitty non-profit because we wanted there to be a robot cheap enough for every kid to have one and learn the joy of engineering, coding, and robotics! We offer the robot to participants of our workshop, or sell complete robot kits under a "buy one/give one" program for $50. Although the 3D printed parts of the...

*THIS THING IS NOT INTENDED TO BE PRINTED. IT HAS NO INHERENT PURPOSE.* In fact, the "thing" I'm highlighting here is the _negative space_ created in this rectangular prism. The photographs are of similar sized and spaced holes created in other projects of mine. The three holes in this block are the measurements I've found work well when printed through a Replicator 5th Generation for mounting VEX EDR motors and servos, both 2-wire and 3-wire, to anything. The slight depressions on...

Geared double joint for robotics. Original FreeCAD file is included. Print two of everything. Shell halves and gears are mirror images. Use 0.3 mm layers with no supports, no rafts. Print time on Ender3 is just under two hours. Sand everything slightly for better fit. There is a version with four 608 bearings. Bearings are heavy and can be replaced by printed "fake 608 bearing" bushings. Tripple joint is included for fun. It requires six 608 bearings.

So, we started by purchasing the Wild Thumper platform from SparkFun. They have an excellent demo video you might want to checkout. While "Commerical-grade" rover kits range into the tens of throusands, this platform is less than $300. It's basically a 6 wheel drive, 1/10th scale RC car platform with an attittude. To make our prototyping faster, we are sharing some simple 3D printable mods for anyone interested in this platform. This Component is part of that collection. - Antenna...

use this wheels to act as part of the joints to transmission power to pull a section of a leg. as seen in the photo, the cockroach design has six legs, each with 4 joints most with 6 degree free movement. each joint needs at least 2 SMA muscles to move. also the belt need to turn 90 degrees in some sections, this need too large pulleys. it is too much work. now decide to make a giant ride-on human hand, use the current legs as fingures, as in a real hand, each joint needs only 2 degrees of free...

This is a cube from the official 2019-2020 VEX Robotics Competition Game "Tower Takeover" The cube is not my design. I simply extracted it from the field file and exported a section of it as an STL file. Enjoy!! The smallest you can shrink the cube down before you start losing features is 45% the original size. I recommend printing with supports, but they aren't required. Note: This part file is digitally watermarked. Verify watermarks at https://www.watermark3d.com

These mounts are made for the REV Robotics expansion hub and battery as well as a Moto G play for FTC robots. It doesn't matter which side each part goes on so long as the battery mount is in the middle. The phone mount is purposely made slightly shorter than the actual phone, as this makes it easier to take the phone out of the mount. The Makerbot files are set for the 5th gen Replicators with a Smart Extruder+ using PLA printing at 10% infill with 5 shells.

Edit: Added the model for the motor. This is a motor mount for a Netrox 12V gearmotor (C9050 Smartmotor), or a similar motor. The Netrox is 25mm in diameter with two screw holes. The motor can be held in the mount with these two screws or with friction (you may need to shim it slightly with paper). The mount attaches to a surface at the two counterbored holes in the flat bar. It positions the motor's axis at 30mm from the mounting surface, which as the astute have no doubt determined, is big to...

Haiya! This is the 3D model for my coursework component. In order to 3D print this model, supports are required due to its complexity. The aim would be to print this with a dual printhead, as to print with wax or glue to wash out the supports as some are difficult to get to. However, in practice on normal printers it is sufficient to cut/splice the model into smaller components to print, and glue them together. Rafts should also be included as otherwise such a large model may slip around on the...

These are two simple reels that I designed as reels for the pulley lift system my FTC team (11591) uses. We use 80lb braided fishing line. To attach, use a Tetrix motor hub with the bump towards the motor. Tie the string through the hole on the other side and you can start with it. The bigger one is more durable but it is, well, bigger. I recommend printing with 100% infill. You can print without supports.

These when printed at 100% on a Printrbot are 65mm(square or circle), and an 85 mm border for easy swap during game day. You can either swap filament (my machine is after layer 26) or use a sharpie on white PLA or ABS to get the correct color for game day. Red for the square and Blue for the circle.
